The Office of Councilmember Lee is seeking motivated and community-oriented interns to support constituent services, policy research, community engagement, and administrative functions. Interns will serve as a first point of contact for residents by assisting with phone and email inquiries, connecting individuals to City services, and engaging with community members in person at events. Interns will also draft written communications, maintain organized records, and support day-to-day operations to help ensure the office runs efficiently.

This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in local government while building professional skills in communication, organization, and public service. Interns will track community data, identify trends, and, during the summer term, collaborate with their cohort to research a City-related topic and present findings and proposed solutions to stakeholders and the Councilmember. Additional opportunities include tours of City facilities, networking with interns across City Hall, and meeting with elected officials at various levels of government. Flexibility is required, as occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays may be expected. Ideal candidates are familiar with District 6, have customer service experience, are committed to serving diverse communities, and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment.
